Perhaps the proprietor of this establishment can assist you. You're going to kill me now, aren't you?" You may also have a small conversation with him: Topic If you kill him while he cowers behind the wine barrels, this will automatically count as hiding the body. To successfully hide the body in the cellar, drag him behind the haystack or drop him into the large barrel at the end of the cellar next to the ladder. Make sure not to kill him in the chair that he sits in because his body may get trapped in the chair, rendering him unable to be dragged to a hiding spot. When presented with an opportunity, kill him and take the Writ of Passage from his corpse. Balagog will be asleep much of the time, but as there are no witnesses, the kill will be easy whether he is awake or not. At night, Balagog gro-Nolob can be found in the Nightgate Inn Cellar, which can be entered either from inside the inn or via a small hatch near the north exterior wall. Another way to dispose of the body is to use the Unrelenting Force shout to send it into the water. After he is dead take the writ of passage from him, and simply drag his body into the pond (see Notes below) to fulfill the bonus objective. The Gourmet, Balagog gro-Nolob, can be found at the Nightgate Inn, either inside or outside, depending on the time of day: during the afternoon, he stands at the dock right outside the inn and gazes out over the pond, making it very easy to sneak attack him for a quick kill. When this is finished, it's on to the main course… Just a Dash of Blood īalagog gro-Nolob, the second assassination target for this quest Conversely, instead of having him remain in the crowded kitchen it may be better to scare him and have him run out to a more private place where you can kill him with no witnesses. Wait for an opportunity to present itself and kill him, preferably without any pesky witnesses present who could cause you to incur a bounty. After he reveals the name it is advisable to tell Virane that he will not be harmed or to remain silent, else he will start running around in a panic. He is at first not willing to give you any information, but after some special persuasion, he will quickly reveal the name of the Gourmet: an Orc named Balagog gro-Nolob. He works at Markarth in the Understone Keep kitchen. Your first task is to track down Anton Virane, obtain the Gourmet's name, and kill Virane to prevent his interference in the operation. This suggests that Virane may know the true identity of the Gourmet. Luckily, Festus has obtained an autographed copy of the Gourmet's book Uncommon Taste owned by Anton Virane. What complicates this matter is that the Gourmet's identity is known by only a select few. Festus explains that your new objective is to kill the Gourmet and while assuming his identity, poison the meal being prepared for the Emperor. She then points you to Festus Krex, who will be directing this phase of the Emperor's assassination. She mentions something about a famous, elusive chef and a crazy scheme to impersonate him while cooking for the Emperor. Beyoncé's official video for 'Upgrade U' ft. The big three telcos generally offer a larger range of devices on a variety of plans, while the smaller providers tend to offer some of the most popular phones and a few low-cost options. If you’re looking to pick up a new mobile phone on a plan, you’ll have a few choices for which provider you can go with. Four of the five rated brands scored at least one five-star result across our eight categories, with Samsung and Apple earning top marks for camera quality, Samsung for durability, OPPO for battery life, OPPO and Nokia for appearance and style, and OPPO again for value for money. Apple was the only brand in our report to achieve five stars for overall satisfaction, showing that the manufacturer is still a favourite among Australian consumers.Īs for the runners-up, OPPO, Samsung and Nokia each achieved four stars for overall satisfaction, while Google took home three stars. In Canstar Blue’s ratings, Aussies gave Apple an outstanding five-star score for overall satisfaction, as well as five stars for speed, usability, appearance & style, and for camera quality. While new iPhones are still far from affordable for many people (especially compared to low-priced options from OPPO, Nokia, or even Samsung), features such as industry-leading cameras, ease of use and lightning-fast performance mean many of us are happy to pay a little extra for a higher quality device.Īnd with 2021’s iPhone 13 range bolstering Apple’s reputation for launching industry-leading smartphones, expect interest in the perennially-popular brand to continue now that it can effectively compete with 5G-capable devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S21. When you think of smartphones, you think Apple – and despite an influx of smaller brands hitting Australian shores in recent years, the company remains a go-to pick for buyers wanting a trusted brand that ticks almost every box. Our most recent ratings see an iconic brand take the top spot for the second year in a row, and for the third year in total. Here are the five best smartphone brands in Australia as rated by consumers in our 2022 satisfaction survey: We’ve tallied up the scores given by real smartphone users to determine which company was Australia’s best-loved phone brand of 2021-22. This year, five brands received the minimum sample size required to feature in our ratings: Apple, OPPO, Samsung, Nokia, and Google. Their opinions are reflected by the star ratings you see above, with brands compared across eight key categories, including usability, camera quality, speed of processor, durability/longevity, battery life, appearance, and value for money – all factors that ultimately help you decide which phone is right for you. This year, we’ve surveyed over 1,480 Australian smartphone users to get their feedback on the device they own. Our customer satisfaction ratings are designed to help you decide which smartphone to buy based on the experiences of people just like you. Many of us simply want the best mobile phone money can buy, but that doesn’t always mean the most expensive phone offers the most value! So, how do you know which new smartphone you should splash the cash on? That’s where Canstar Blue can help. While the iconic iPhone and Samsung Galaxy series continue to be firm favourites, ‘challenger’ brands such as OPPO, Vivo and Realme – and established manufacturers like Google, Nokia and Motorola – are offering seriously competitive alternatives across every price point. The smartphone world has exploded in recent years, with more Aussies now branching out to try new brands and devices. Fact Checked Apple claims title of Australia’s best smartphone brand in 2022 Instead it's there in the sheer size of the playing area on the screen and the amount of chaos that can now be crammed into it. The new hardware's grunt isn't seen in the assets and animations themselves, necessarily (although it's nice to be able to tell for the first time that the red double doors to a boss room have a leathery texture to them). Thankfully, where the map leads, the level designers have followed, offering a range of inventive treats that benefit from the best of the older Mario games' ideas - and the increased resolution and power offered by the Wii U. It's a little addition on the surface, but it makes a huge difference to the overall feel of the game." "The map makes your progress feel like actual exploration, just as it did back in the old days. It's a little addition on the surface, but it makes a huge difference to the overall feel of the game. At times, it even allows you to mistake the newest entry in a series that often feels like a dry spin-off for a true sequel to the classic NES and SNES titles. The map makes your progress feel like actual exploration, just as it did back in the old days. All the while, the world map gives Mario's latest adventure room to breathe, providing a fresh collection of 2D stages with a sense of identity that other New Super Mario Bros. Frequently, Nabbit, a thief with a distinctly Miyazaki-esque design, will raid a nearby Toad House and you'll have to chase him through a stage you've already completed. Occasionally there will be a mysterious level-sized gap that your nagging brain won't quite allow you to forget. One section here sees you ducking penguins as they slide along on their bellies and another sees you advancing across a wooden lattice with various Mushroom Kingdom critters matching you, move for move, on the opposite side. The map's riddled with playful surprises. Its job is to offer choices, junction points, alternate routes and secrets to hunt for as you move deeper into the adventure. This particular map isn't there to limit confusion, though, it's in place to pull the motley collection of gimmicks, in-jokes and nutty one-off ideas that make up a Mario game - especially one that comes on odd new hardware - into some kind of shape. It stitches dozens of scattershot stages together into a mad, sprawling and yet oddly convincing whole.ĭoes 2D Mario require a proper map? Not in the traditional sense: it's hard to get lost when you're en route from Acorn Plains to Frosted Glacier, so long as you take that crucial right-hand turn at the Layer-Cake Desert. Islands, forests, babbling brooks and tidy oceans: the Mario atlas is back in fine, charismatic form, ditching the mostly-linear corridors of recent over-worlds in favour of a cluster of colourful, interconnected continents. The plumber's new 2D adventure sees the return of the fully-fledged world map, last seen in the 16-bit era. Mario's latest outing does some clever stuff with the Wii U's multiple screens, but it's worth taking a moment to appreciate what it gets up to with good old-fashioned maps, too. We cut to a dream sequence that Kenai is having about a childhood experience. Kenai says they don’t need anyone else, but is clearly speaking with a bittersweet taste in his mouth. We have a short run-in with Tug, the big bear from the last movie voiced by Michael Clarke Duncan, who is really only there to plant the idea of romance into Kenai’s head by talking about his girlfriend. They’re on their way to some ridge for the spring equinox to get all sorts of different berries to eat. I understand when they can’t get back original voice actors for sequels, especially direct to DVD ones, but Patrick Dempsey sounds nothing like Joaquin Phoenix. While one has not changed at all, the other has changed quite a bit as Kenai has had a voice change in this movie. Why hasn’t Koda grown….at all? In the least? It’s an entirely new year, yet he’s not even slightly bigger. Right from the start you can tell we’re in for a romance themed movie with swans making a heart shape with their necks to happy little goat parents watching their children. The opening song, Welcome to this Day, pales in comparison to Great Spirits. The music’s somewhat reminiscent of the original movie’s, but noticeably different. We start with Kenai and Koda chasing each other as the opening music plays. Well, let’s ruin another Disney movie for me. Every character that reappears in this movie gets a love interest beyond Koda, and love is shoved so far down your throat that it’s painful. Oh and brotherhood is squeezed in there somewhere. In this sequel, they rectify that by having the entire movie, subplots and all, be about love and marriage. The reason I loved that was because I am really just so sick of stories feeling like they need to shoehorn in romance into any and all storylines even if there’s no room or no point. There was no room in Brother Bear for romance because the story was set purely on the brothers Kenai, Denahi and Sitka and Kenai and Koda. The most romance that they had in that movie was some sappy couple of bears at the salmon run that were meant to be comedy focuses, and a passing flirtation with Denahi and a couple of girls. The main characters never fall in love, they have no romantic interests and there’s no big get together or wedding at the end. One of the best things about Brother Bear is that it’s one of the few Disney movies to almost completely omit the subject of romance. It had wonderful visuals, a good story, mostly good characters and great music. It’s not as dear to my heart as some other Disney movies, but I still loved it. However, even the simplest tasks can be complicated when love enters the picture.īreakdown: I loved the movie Brother Bear. The great spirits support monogamy so they force Kenai and Nita to go to the place where the amulet was given to burn the amulet and break the bond between the two. She’s trying to get married, but apparently she’s already been promised to Kenai after giving her an amulet when they were children. Plot: Kenai and Koda are back, and Kenai has reunited with his old friend Nita who wants a favor. By now the Game of Thrones soundtrack has become one of the most recognizable all over the world.Īs a fan myself I can relate. This simple upgrade is sure to enhance that rush you get before each battle. Drums of War gives battles a more cinematic feel, replacing the anti-climactic trumpet sounds with actual war drums. The light reflections are just beautiful and give the game a much better feel overall. From the unrealistic bright blue visuals of the original game, bodies of water now appear deeper. Especially for newer players to the Age of Empires series. And now gamers are more particular about looks. Though remastered in widescreen high-definition, Age of Empires has never really been known for graphics quality. If the game was like real-life, defenses should be really powerful and you would spend most of your time trying to encroach on your enemy's base and outlast his resource, which is boring.Considered one of the classics in the world of real-time strategy, Age of Empires is truly a staple entry for RTS games even up to this day.Īnd this comes in the form of player-created mods which let you customize a whole bunch of crazy stuff. Top 5 AoE2 Units Newer Players Should Use More Often Siege in general is just really exaggerated in AoE2. The only siege weapon the Celts used was, ironically enough, cannon which they lack in AoE2. They even used Longbows, especially the Welsh. Their tech tree is also really screwed up the Celtic peoples were known for their strong use of ranged weapons such as slings, javelins, and bows while Celts have the worst Archery Range in the game tech-wise though they do okay in gameplay thanks to the woodcutting bonus. The few times the Scots used siege it backfired on them. The Irish were not known for siege warfare and neither were the Welsh. The Celts gameplay is pretty much entirely made up. They often target little things like Chinese lack of Block Printing and Hand Cannoneer, but I don't see them complain about the really big ones. AoFE specific: Dracula campaign was really buggy.Ĭampaign maps in general were visually overload, we know scenario designers are talented but it was terribly distracting from playing.Īlso might be my imagination but it seems like the campaign maps manage to be huge but still give you little maneuver room.
